3D mapping, 3D modelling and 3D scanning for architecture, construction, and engineering

3D mapping, also known as 3D modelling or 3D scanning, plays a significant role in the fields of architecture, construction, and engineering. It involves creating three-dimensional representations of physical objects or spaces using various technologies and techniques. Here’s how 3D mapping is used in these industries:

  1. Architectural Design:
    • Conceptual Design: Architects use 3D mapping to create digital models of their design concepts. This allows them to visualize and communicate their ideas effectively to clients and stakeholders.
    • Site Analysis: 3D mapping can be used to create accurate topographical maps and terrain models of a construction site. This information helps architects plan for issues such as grading and drainage.
    • Interior Design: Interior architects use 3D mapping to create virtual representations of indoor spaces, helping clients and designers make informed decisions about layouts, furniture placement, and aesthetics.
    • Lighting Simulation: 3D mapping can simulate how natural and artificial light will interact with a building’s design, aiding in the design of energy-efficient and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
  2. Construction:
    • Site Preparation: Before construction begins, 3D mapping can help contractors assess the site’s existing conditions and plan for excavation, earthmoving, and foundation work.
    • Construction Planning: Contractors use 3D models to plan the sequencing of construction activities, optimize resource allocation, and identify potential clashes or conflicts in design elements.
    • Quality Control: 3D mapping allows for precise measurements and comparisons between the as-built conditions and the original design, helping ensure quality control during construction.
    • Safety: 3D mapping can be used to plan and visualize safety protocols, evacuation routes, and crane operations to enhance on-site safety.
  3. Engineering:
    • Civil Engineering: 3D mapping is crucial in civil engineering for tasks like surveying, creating digital terrain models, and designing infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and dams.
    • Structural Engineering: Engineers use 3D models to analyze and simulate the behavior of structures under different loads, helping ensure structural integrity and safety.
    • Mechanical Engineering: In industries like manufacturing, 3D mapping is used to create digital twins of mechanical systems, aiding in design, testing, and maintenance.
    • Environmental Engineering: 3D mapping can be used to model environmental conditions and simulate the impact of engineering projects on the environment.
  4. Project Visualization and Communication:
    • 3D mapping enhances communication among architects, engineers, contractors, and clients by providing a clear and immersive visual representation of the project.
    • Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies allow stakeholders to experience the project in a more immersive and interactive way.

3D mapping is a powerful tool that improves design accuracy, streamlines construction processes, enhances safety, and facilitates collaboration in the fields of architecture, construction, and engineering. It has become increasingly essential as technology continues to advance in these industries.

What is a backlit sign?

What is a backlit sign?
What is a backlit sign?

An important consideration for any business, event or promotional drive should be signage. Signs can be used to not only help spread your message but also attract customers and set yourself apart from your competition. Investing in a sign is a significant step towards reinforcing your brand but it is not surprising that many businesses aren’t sure where to start when deciding on a sign that suits them. If you’re asking yourself what kind of sign is best for your business then we can help. There are various formats available in order to ensure you can create the eye-catching impact desired in every circumstance, but today we are going to focus on just one: the backlit sign.

One of the most popular sign types (and one that we absolutely love) is the backlit sign. Ultimately, these are signs that are illuminated using a light source behind the design in order to draw peoples eye and spread the desired message loud and clear. The backlit sign is highly versatile and works in your favour around the clock, something many signs are unable to do after sunset which results in your business losing out on valuable marketing time.

backlit sign is great for use both inside and outside and are often seen in shopping centres, airports, bus stops and building signage. There are many benefits to choosing a backlit sign including:

  • Increased visibility at night
  • Clear and easy to read – even from afar
  • Colourful and eye-catching
  • Stand out from the crowd
  • Perfect for promoting your business or message

The sign is created with a light source behind and the printed graphic over the top. LED lights are most commonly used as the light source due to their effectiveness. On top of this, they are also incredibly energy efficient; the LED lights provide an impressive level of brightness while using small amounts of energy, this makes them an excellent choice for businesses of all sizes. Your design will not only stand out but will also be full of detail and clarity. The back lighting even helps your sign design to appear enhanced.

Printing backlit signs is becoming more and more versatile thanks to the technology available today and this means you can literally create exactly the kind of sign you require without breaking the bank to afford it. The combination of the durability and the eye-catching vividness of backlit signs plays a vital part in their ever-increasing popularity.

If you have an idea in mind for a backlit sign, contact Image Sign Studio today for professional, high quality and carefully designed signs that will help you spread your message in a loud, clear and refined way.  We operate in the Sheffield and Rotherham areas and pride ourselves on helping businesses realize their creative goals.

Vinyl Window Graphics and Shop Sign Sheffield for Poppies Bakehouse

Ecclesall Road is a great mix of eclectic boutiques, independent shops and cafes, restaurants and eateries, so the new bakery will be the perfect addition to this popular street. Poppies Bakery is the newest addition to the busy Banner Cross area of Ecclesall Road in Sheffield, offering a range of savoury dishes and freshly baked cakes and tarts.

Sheffield born Natalie Hall, aged 24, received support for the venture by Leeds Beckett University, which awarded her the Vice Chancellor’s Enterprise Scholarship worth £3,000. The bakery is a take away and a sit-in eatery with a vintage feel and a modern twist.

Shop Sign for Sheffield Bakehouse

Owner Natalie told the Sheffield Star “I could not be more thrilled to be opening my very own bakehouse in Sheffield, my home city. It has been a long-standing dream of mine to open a food-based business and thanks to this University scholarship and support it has assisted me in the process of making this happen.”

Leeds Beckett University Vice Chancellor, Professor Price commented: “Our 2014 student and graduate scholarship finalists were of an extremely high standard and Natalie’s determination and commitment to achieving her goals, coupled with her innovative and exciting business plan, made her an exceptional and worthy recipient. This scholarship will be a real lifeline to help establish Poppies Bakehouse and I wish Natalie every success with her business.

Vintage Inspired Branding and Shop Sign

As professional shop sign makers in Sheffield, Image Sign Studio were asked to provide a shop sign for Poppies Bakery to reflect the image that Natalie was trying to project of an informal, vintage inspired eatery. They used an aluminium backboard with a wood print effect to achieve the look of wood, giving it a natural, rustic look. They then mounted aluminium standoff letters in pink italic letters using studs onto the backboard, adding a funky, feminine twist.

Shop Front Vinyl Window Graphics

In addition to the shop sign Sheffield, Image Sign Studio also provided vinyl window graphics for the front window of Poppies Bakery, featuring butterflies and a picket fence effect to give a quaint, outdoorsy feel to the window. The colour co-ordinated bunting and shabby chic tables and chairs that can be seen from outside finish the look perfectly, and it looks fantastic!

Virtual Tour Questions Answered

Virtual tours are becoming increasingly sought after as effective marketing material. With the realization of their online value for potential customers, many businesses are now investing in virtual tours. With the sudden growth comes misunderstandings and uncertainties about what you can expect from a virtual tour company. As an experienced and highly regarded virtual tour company operating in the Sheffield, Derbyshire and Peak District areas we wanted to help customers get the most from their virtual tours, so below are 4 questions to ask your virtual tour company before hiring.

1) What equipment will you use for the virtual tour?

It’s important to ensure the company you choose is experienced, there are a lot of amateurs jumping into the business and if you don’t use the right equipment you won’t get the high definition that is needed for a virtual tour. Ideally, a DSLR camera should be used in order to get the image quality that’s necessary. A gimmicky camera will not produce the same level of quality and will not impress your potential clients so make sure the virtual tour company is using high quality and professional equipment.

2) Can I see some of your previous virtual tours?

Find out how many virtual tours the company has done before and take a look at their previous work. You can often find some examples of the companies work on their website so it is definitely worth taking a look. You can get an idea of how experienced the company is and by reviewing some of their work you can know the standard of the tours they offer. Pay attention to detail as if you were reviewing your own business’s virtual tour.

Not sure what to look for in their tour examples? Below are some top tips:

  • Lighting is very important for photos and this remains true for virtual tours. The lighting needs to be right otherwise you miss important details or your eye is drawn elsewhere.
  • Transition between rooms. You want the transitions to be smooth, it shouldn’t be clunky or feel unnatural.
  • Are your eyes being drawn to the right features?
  • Unwanted features. Are there features in the tour that take away from the experience? e.g. bins, faces, personal information etc.

3) Which rooms will be photographed?

It is important to ask this so you can be clear on what will be included in the tour. This is an important question as sometimes photographers pick and choose which rooms to include, this can be for good reason and produce an effective end product but if the photographer isn’t experienced it could just be them trying to simplify the project.

4) Should the business be empty for the tour?

The virtual tour company will be able to offer suggestions on whether staff or clients should be around for the virtual tour. More often than not, the virtual tour is more effective when there are no people so the focus can be on what your business has to offer customers.  There can be occasions where there are benefits to having people around so it’s definitely something to discuss with the photographer.

If you’re looking for a virtual tour Sheffield, Derbyshire or Peak District then 360 Virtual View will be able to help. Experience is key to producing seamless virtual tours, if you’d like to see our previous work, get in touch by calling 0114 383 0711 or via https://360virtualview.co.uk

The customer can explore the location as they’d like by clicking or dragging on the screen. This interactive take can benefit a range of locations from restaurants and hotels to estate agents to theatres. Hospitals have even used them to make kids feel less nervous about visiting the children’s ward. The goal of an interactive tour is to create a realistic representation of the establishment to truly immerse the customer in the experience.

Benefits of getting a virtual tour

Increase Exposure

An interactive tour catches people’s attention, it generates interest and impresses potential customers. The virtual tour will bring more traffic to your website and your establishment will appear on Google Street View.

Packed full of visual information

A photograph simply does not do your business justice; a 3D tour immerses the viewer and allows them to appreciate what you have to offer.

Around the clock “open house”

Once your virtual tour has been created it will go online and can work its magic whenever someone goes on your website. It is a revolutionary marketing tool that is available for your potential customers 24/7.

Cost effective

By having this feature you are likely to increase sales as the more information you offer, the more confident the customer will be in your product. A virtual tour 360 is a cost-effective way to increase traffic to your website, increase sales and help grow your business.

Interactive and engaging

A potential customer will spend more time on your website if you offer a virtual tour. It separates your business from the competition and brings a unique interaction between your business and your customer.

Why use a virtual tour company?

On first glance, you may think you’ll be able to create your own virtual reality tour without going through a company but this is a very difficult thing to achieve. A virtual tour 360 requires professional photography, editing and mapping in order to work effectively. A virtual tour company will often use specialist cameras and software to create the finished tours you see. 4 Ways Your Business Can Make a Great First Impression
4 Ways Your Business Can Make a Great First Impression

First impressions count. We all know it and we are all guilty of making split second judgements. We judge books by their covers and businesses by their signs, it happens and that is why we want to help your business make a great first impression. Positive customer experience brings with it; more sales, increased customer loyalty and the further building of your brand. If you’re in the Sheffield or Rotherham areas, Image Sign Studio can help your new customers feel welcome and satisfied from the get go (making them much more likely to come back to your business time and time again!).

Read on to discover 4 key ways your business can make a great first impression:

1. Have an outdoor sign that is easy to read and can be seen from a distance

This allows you to attract customers who are passing by and lets them know that your business is close, however there is more to attracting customers than just ‘putting up a sign’. In order for the potential customer to want to use your business the sign needs to be aesthetically pleasing, easy to see from a distance and easy to read. Stylish simplicity is often most effective.

2. Use lighting to give your business 24-hour advertising

By lighting up your business signage you attract peoples eye no matter what time of day it is. This complete visibility gives you a huge advantage over your competitors, but it is very important you keep your signs well maintained. There is nothing more off putting for a potential customer than seeing an old, broken or half lit business sign. In order to reap the rewards, you need to keep your signs looking smart. Lit sign options include a backlit sign, lightbox sign, LED sign and using fret cut illuminated letters.

3. Be welcoming

A customer’s experience begins as soon as they hear about your business. Maybe they have been online and visited your website, maybe they were driving in the area and saw one of your signs – whatever way they found you, you need to make sure the experience is top notch from the start… Is your website clear? Are the contact details easy to find? Is your business sign clear and easy to read? Does the customer feel welcome at the door? Think about these things. What does your customer see when they are about to enter your business? Your customer doesn’t want to walk into a shop with big stickers on the door saying “NO” maybe you have door signs saying “NO DOGS” or “NO FOOD OR DRINK ALLOWED”, this can give off a negative vibe early on so you may try to make the first impression better by simply changing the signs. Maybe you could use signs that say, “Come in, we’re open!” or “Yes we accept credit cards” to make customers feel welcome.

4. Make sure the entrance is obvious

By having a well-designed sign at your entrance, you can not only give clear direction to your shop but you also make a fantastic first impression. Your sales revenue could increase by close to 5% just from the use of one powerful sign. Your signs are all about first impressions and guiding potential customers to your door. By using signs to their full potential, you allow a customer to feel confident in your business and product before they’ve even stepped in the door. Always make sure your sign is easy to read for the best impact – there are many different material and lettering options available so find one that makes your message pop: your sign letters could be acrylic, flat cut, aluminium or perspex.

3D Virtual Tours, 360-Degree Photography, and VR Experiences for your business

Virtual tours are an amazing asset to many businesses and organisations including:

  • tourist attractions
  • stately homes
  • estate agents
  • letting agents
  • renters
  • cultural spaces
  • restaurants
  • hotels
  • and more!

However, in the current economic climate, getting the competitive advantage over your competitors is vital.

Below are 4 Ways a Virtual Tour Can Benefit Your Business

Press ‘play’ then press the ‘view in full screen’ link

A virtual tour is an immersive & interactive experience that allows on-line visitors to see inside your property without taking a single step outside of their home. Your potential customers can see inside your business in a virtual reality environment giving them a detailed look at the quality of your establishment and increasing the likelihood they will visit – it really is the next best thing to actually being there!

Here are 4 ways a virtual tour can benefit your business:

Generate more interest & excitement

Your potential customers get a glimpse into your business, it’s a new level of interaction that shows impressive effectiveness. The majority of people check out a business on-line before deciding whether or not to visit in person – you do it, I do it, almost all of us do it so let’s benefit from it!

Traditional photographs make it very difficult to see the real size and appearance of your property, it can appear very underwhelming even when your establishment is spectacular. That’s where the virtual tour comes in – people get to feel as though they’ve been in and seen how great it is for themselves before actually committing to physically going. A recent Google study found customers are considerably more likely to book a reservation if they see a virtual tour of the place first. This increased online activity and engagement generates more interest and brings more footfall traffic to your business.

Get the edge over your competitors

For some potential customers, a virtual tour is the deciding factor when choosing between competing businesses. People enjoy the experience of taking a virtual tour, it keeps them on your website for a lot longer than usual (an average of 40% longer), increases interactions as the customer will be clicking through products and photos on your site and it gives your potential customer the confidence to decide which business to choose. You can also incorporate your tour into your website, social media platforms and Google Business View too so you are likely to experience increased online traffic which will help to organically boost your Google rankings.

Increases business revenue

A virtual tour can increase your business revenue in multiple ways, the best thing about it is once it’s online you don’t have to think about it again. Time after time new customers will take your virtual tour, so while you focus on other things:

  • Your website will be viewed more frequently
  • Visitors will spend more time browsing your site
  • Your business is available to ‘see’ 24/7
  • Increased sales in less time
  • Potential customers are well informed on your services & more confident in decision making

Businesses in every industry are realizing the untapped potential that a virtual tour brings. Whether you have a beautiful stately home or a bustling restaurant the modern, dynamic visuals of a virtual tour could be your answer for increased interaction, interest and sales.

Get your business on Google Street View

Ever wondered how those other businesses get on Google Street View? Now you know! With every virtual tour that 360 Virtual View provide, and as a Google partner, 360 Virtual View can also put you onto Google Street view. Here’s how that will benefit you:

  • Trust – build trust with your potential customers by putting a ‘face’ to your business name. These days, anyone can go on the internet and say virtually ‘anything’ they want so adding a virtual tour to Street View will demonstrate you are who you say you are
  • Influence the research – according to Forbes, retailers state that 82% of new customers research online before visiting a physical premises. By allowing these potential customers to see inside before they decide, you’re influencing their decision – not to mention helping them to pre-qualify themselves first saving everyone time!
  • Humanise to connect – humanising your business puts a ‘human’ face to your name, showing your potential customers something they ‘recognise’ which will allow them to relate to you in advance. A virtual tour is a great way to do this!
  • Help customers make informed decisions – customers have a lot of questions before they visit – for example about parking or what the area looks like – so you’ll be helping them find the answers they need
  • Passive marketing – help your customers come and find you.
  • convenience – Google’s Street View works on any platform, even on the go, so your potential customers can find you and ‘check you out’ when it’s convenient for them, whether that’s at the bus stop, in bed, on holiday, or even over a cup of tea in the morning before work

However, timing is important!

There are many factors influencing your virtual tour so get in touch today to find out more and get prices. Call 360 Virtual View today on 0114 383 0711 or email info@360virtualview.co.uk

Shop Signs and Street Signs Drop Letters to Raise Awareness of Giving Blood

National Blood Week runs from 8 – 14 June, and the campaign hopes to build awareness of the shortage and encourage the public to donate blood. They’ve called the campaign #MissingType, and even the Prime Minister’s official residence has become D wning Street. As makers of shop signs Sheffield, we think it’s a great idea to show support for such a worthy cause in a way that will be seen by huge numbers of people and help to raise awareness.

National Blood Week

The campaign to raise awareness of National Blood Week has swept across the UK, causing letters to disappear from street signs and shop signs across the country. It’s all part of a campaign launched by Give Blood NHS which has been designed to encourage people to donate. Shop signs, street signs and landmarks are removing the letters A, O and B from their signs in order to symbolise the donors’ blood groups that are needed to maintain the much needed supplies in Britain.

The head of PR at Give Blood NHS, Andrea Ttofa told Buzzfeed News: “There’s a decline year-on-year of the number of new people donating, and more than half of current donors are over 45. It’s important to take action now in order to maintain a safe supply of blood for the future,” she continued. “We’re hoping many more individuals and companies will get behind it to drive thousands of people to be new donors.”

Reduction in the Number of New Donors

The assistant director for donor services Jon Latham said: “We simply can’t ignore the fact that there has been a stark reduction in the number of new donors coming forward – a trend seen across the world. While we can meet the needs of patients now, it’s important we strengthen the donor base for the future.”

The Official Twitter account for Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) recently tweeted a picture of their sign missing letters, and read “We’ve lost our As, Bs and Os in support of @GiveBloodNHS, help replace them by giving blood #missingtype” The campaign also encourages people to drop the As, Os, and Bs from their Twitter names to raise awareness of the need for new blood donors. “We have the biggest social media following of any blood service in the world and a very engaged community, but they’re often people who have already donated themselves,” Ttofa continued.

Illuminated Shop Signs Sheffield

Although we’ve not noticed any shop signs Sheffield having their letters removed, it’s certainly an interesting campaign that is bound to get the attention of the general public, especially with large companies such as Odeon, Green and Blacks, and Waterstones on board. A Sign of the Times

50 years ago, us Brits decided we were on the move! Having built new-fangled motorway infrastructures and with more of us were buying more cars their price having lowered and therefore becoming greatly more affordable to the masses, the nation was on the move quicker and more frequently than it had ever been previously. Soon, however, this became a problem, though not from the issues you may have thought, but rather due to our incomprehensible or lacking road signs. This problem was discussed at the 1931 Geneva Convention entitled “Concerning the Unification of Road Signals”. It was highlighted that visual aids were the key to new British road signs and a fewer words as possible were to be used. This was not because the Brits were all illiterate in the 60s but mainly due to dim lighting, bad weather conditions and high speed all preventing signs and signals from being read properly and warnings being missed.   Ministry members listened and asked for the assistance of a graphic designer from Hyde Park, named Jock Kinneir, to help keep the country safe whilst driving. So, new signs were designed with the assistance of his talented, young pupil, Margaret Calvert, who later became his business partner. The signs go the thumbs up from the ministry and in 1965 a leaflet was canvased through every door in the country, titled “The New Traffic Signals”. This was the modernity turning point for British signage. Kinneir and Calvert designed signs have barely been changed since 1965 – 50 years later, their names live on.

50 Years In the Signage Industry Is A Good Sign!

From the 19th until the 27th September is the London Design Festival 2015. This event amalgamates design and creative geniuses from the entire country, giving them an opportunity to showcase their designs. These range from specific items from our built environment, functional daily necessities and decorative luxury items. This free to attend event has never been held on such a large scale, hosting around 400 events. One of the most celebrated exhibitions to see this year is being held at the Design Museum and is the 50 years of British road signs Exhibition, designed by Calvert and Kinneir. This exhibition is also free and shows curated archived materials by Made North, as well as celebrating the installation of both original and new British signage.

Case Study of Illuminated Shop Sign Sheffield Installation

Béres Pork Shops were founded in 1961, after the Hungarian butcher Sandor Béres left Budapest during the 1956 uprising against the communists. As a political refugee in Britain, his aim was to establish a chain of shops and build a successful business. Sandor and his wife Eileen opened their first shop in 1961, predominantly as butchers specialising in pork and beef.

After seeing an excellent opportunity in the making and selling of freshly made pork sandwiches, the couple quickly built a good reputation. Béres Pork Shops are very much a family affair, with the couple’s children Richard, Helen and Catherine joining the business. They now have 9 shops all over Sheffield and have become a household name in the city.

LED Face Illumination

The latest project here at Image Sign Studio shop signs Sheffield is a series of signs for the famous chain of speciality pork sandwich shops Béres. Béres have revamped their shop frontages recently, and asked us to help them with their shop signs. There are now 9 Béres Pork Shops scattered around the city, with shops located in Hillsborough, Firth Park, Woodseats, Crookes and Chapeltown.

Our Sheffield shop sign makers have manufactured and installed signs for several of the branches throughout Sheffield, and have recently installed shop signage for the Crookes and Woodseats branches, with Chapeltown in the pipeline.

Béres Pork Shop’s shop signs were manufactured to be face lit. LED face illumination is created when the lights are placed on a tray inside the 3D letter, meaning that only the face of the lettering is illuminated.

The signs themselves are 3D illuminated shop signs, made from 3D stainless steel letters which have been expertly powder coated white to consistently match the branding of the business. The 3D stainless steel letters are also face lit, and feature an opal Perspex face which the light shines through in order to illuminate it. The letters are mounted on aluminium sign trays.

Shop Signs Sheffield

Sheffield shop sign makers Image Sign Studio are experts in the design, manufacture and installation of shop signs. We can produce 3D illuminated shop signs for a variety of businesses, ensuring that your business will stand out from the crowd and project a professional image. 3D letters can be manufactured from stainless steel, aluminium or Perspex, and can be illuminated using LED lighting to give them the extra wow factor.

Organic Content Creation and 3 Reasons Why It’s Important for SEO

The chief aim of any SEO campaign is to drive genuine, high-quality traffic to the website in question. This can be achieved by combining white-hat link building with valuable organic content creation; which can both help you to achieve your ranking goals.

With that in mind, Seven Creative are perfectly placed to help; and continue to offer Sheffield SEO services to businesses on both a monthly and one off basis. Focussing on the production of shareable, engaging website copy; they have a proven track record when it comes to successfully ranking sites across a wide spectrum of trades. With that in mind, this company have put together a guide to help explain why organic content should continue to form the cornerstone of your SEO campaign.

External Social Linking

If people see value in the content of your business blog, they may feel compelled to share it across social media and other bookmarking sites; which can only have a positive effect. Not only will the links built back to your site by this activity act as golden flags to the search engine algorithms, they will also raise exposure of the shared content you’ve written and get in front of more potentially high-value website visitors.

If and when other web users start to link to your site, the subsequent SEO benefits can see you rise further up the ranking positions.

Ramping Up Site Engagement Time

Focussing on the production of content that offers genuine value to your target website users can benefit you in a number ways. Primarily, it will ensure that you’re providing your potential customers with useful information; that will ultimately persuade them to choose your services. As a result of this, it’s likely that those users will engage with your site for a longer spell of time.

Google will look fondly upon this; as the longer a visitor spends on your site, the more the search engines will flag it as a valuable source of information. Finally, if the traffic you receive likes the content, they’re more likely to delve into the deeper structure of your site. This means a reduced bounce rate and more subsequent points scored with the search engines.

Ongoing Optimisation of New Content

A steady stream of site pages – that you can carefully optimise for SEO purposes – will come as a result of continued organic content production.

Each new page presents a chance to for you to integrate search terms that you wish to be found for; whilst the accompanying meta data you can fill in is another factor the search engines will be weighing up when debating the value of your site.

Every page of copy that you produce can also be optimised with relevant images, which when added correctly can also give your site a boost. As long as you consistently stick to good practices, you’re sure to see an improvement for your website in the search engine ranking positions.

Objections to Controversial Plans to Demolish Devonshire Street, Report Shop Sign Makers Sheffield

Campaigners have been trying to raise the money needed for the legal costs for a judicial review to overturn the decision to knock the shops down on Devonshire Street. Campaigners have been fighting ever since to save them from being bulldozed, and have now raised £15,000 in order to launch a legal battle. The money will cover the costs in case permission for a review of the case is refused, and has been raised through a variety of fundraising events and activities including an art auction, gigs, and online crowdfunding from those who support the campaigners.

Objections to the Controversial Demolition Plans

There have been more than 20,000 objections to the controversial plans, also previously reported by experts in shop signs Sheffield Image Sign Studio. Sheffield Council plan to knock down the shops on Devonshire Street and replace them with shops, restaurants and flat.

According to the Sheffield Star, several celebrities have backed the cause, including Sheffield singer Jarvis Cocker. He called the second hand bookshop Rare and Racy, which has been on Devonshire Street since 1969, a ‘global treasure’. The head of Save Devonshire Street Nick Roscoe said “The community has shown it is totally behind us and I think if there is any chance of holding the council to account then we have got to take it.” There has also been an organised protest outside Sheffield Town Hall, in which hundreds of people attended to protest against the scheme to convert the shops into flats and restaurants. Campaigners were out in force to make it known that they disagreed with the plans, saying that the shops on Devonshire Street are part of the city’s heritage.

Sheffield Council ‘In Difficult Position’

According to Sheffield Council, they have been put in a difficult position regarding Devonshire Street and expressed clearly that their hands have been tied by government requirements. Sheffield City Councillor, Leigh Bramall, said: “Although technically we make the decision on planning applications, our hands are tied by the stringent planning laws set out by the government. If we did not follow these laws we would be putting the Council under a big risk of being taken to an appeal by the developer, to be heard by the National Planning Inspectorate, which would mean that the Council would be overruled and the development go ahead, but with the Council facing huge legal bills.”

When the review application has been submitted, a judge could decide the campaigners have a case based on the paperwork, or it could go to the High Court for a hearing in August. As professional makers of shop signs Sheffield, Image Sign Studio are very aware of the support for this eclectic group of shops and think it’s a shame not only that they may be destroyed, but sad that so many people are upset by the proceedings.

Moor Market Footfall Down, Report Shop Sing Makers Sheffield

The new Moor Market hasn’t gone down quite as well as Sheffield City Council had hoped unfortunately. According to recent figures, half a million fewer people visited the Moor Market in its first year compared to the last year that Castle Market was open. The Council are now reducing the market traders’ rent by half until March 2017 due to the poor trading conditions.

The council, however, are more optimistic about the future of the Moor Market and are offering 4 weeks of free rent to new traders. There are also plenty of events scheduled at the market this summer including puppet shows, table tennis, reading sessions and mini golf. As makers of shop signs Sheffield, it’s really sad to see this iconic sign being removed. It’s unfortunate that the Moor Market hasn’t really lived up to many people’s ideas of what the council promised, but as the area develops, we really hope footfall increases for the new site.

Iconic Shop Sign Sheffield Removed

Castle Market in the city centre of Sheffield is currently in the process of being demolished, with the most complex part of the demolition set to start in the next few days. The old Sheffield shop sign that read ‘The Markets’ has recently been removed, and the building contractor Kier are now set to deconstruct the tower block from the top down. Castle market has now been replaced with the new Moor Market, which cost a huge £18 million to build, but the old market is still being knocked down and is due to be completed by November.

A spokesman from Sheffield Council said: “Demolition works remain on programme to be completed in November 2015. Things are going well with no major issues so far and the site remains safe and secure.” The spokesman also added that the council have made sure that the accessible parts of the castle ruins are well protected and regularly monitored during the demolition works to ensure they are not damaged. “The progress of the physical demolition works on site is fairly obvious now given that you can see right through from one side to the other from both Waingate and Exchange Street.”

Sheffield Castle Site

Castle Market took its name from Sheffield Castle, as the market was built on its remains. The market closed in 2013 when the Moor Market opened on the Moor, at the other end of the city centre. The market opened in 1965, and was a well-loved place by many, meaning that a huge number of people were really disappointed when plans to demolish the site were announced.

4 Planer Blades Errors to Avoid

When it comes to product creation, one of the ways you can stay happy is through the consistent application of the most reliable tools; which is something Knife-Point are accustomed to providing to their customers. With a great selection of cutting products, this Sheffield-based knife supplier continues to help tradesmen working across a number of different sectors.

One such group of clients are those who are employed within the woodworking field. These individuals regularly require top quality planer blades to best do their jobs; which Knife-Point are always able to supply. By using planer blades purchased directly from them, you can help yourself to avoid the sort of pitfalls people who are using unreliable alternatives can fall into.

Knife-Point have listed some of the things you can look forward to leaving behind when you move to them as your regular supplier:

Nobody Wants to Waste Materials

Wasted materials mean that you’ll lose the monetary investment that you’ve dedicated towards the components you’ve used in a project – so it’s a given that you’ll feel frustrated as a result. Choose the right cutting tools from this point forward and you can pre-empt the issue. The problem with not achieving the end results that you’re hoping for is that you’re likely to have to start again.

Lost Time is Frustrating

Poor quality planer blades can cost you time as well as money. Selecting the right ones from the start – and then making sure that you keep them in pristine working order – can help you to avoid the unwanted scenario of looking back negatively at time you’ve wasted.

Your Customers Remain the Priority

You’re not going to satisfy your customers with the products you produce unless they are of an immaculate quality. You can help achieve consistently superb standards with our help of Knife-Point’s tools, which will enable you to retain your existing clients and add more to go with them when your reputation for attention to detail grows.

Research is Vital to Your Success

If you’ve not taken the time to research the type or size of blade you need, then it’s likely you’ll not see the realisation of the finished products that you’re aspiring towards. If you research the tools you need in detail, you’ll reap the rewards when it comes to the date of completion.

Whether you’re knowingly or unwittingly using the wrong planer blades, you can be sure that the end results will be the same.

Not only will this always be well-received by Google; it will also retain customers visiting your site for longer (also great for SEO). Whether you’re looking for one-off SEO site work, or ongoing content production, you need to make sure that you pick the right company to carry out the work for you. As Sheffield SEO experts, Seven Creative are well-placed to help:

Make Business Blogging a Priority

Business blogging can have a real impact on the image of your brand. When optimised correctly, this content is perhaps the most important factor with relation to how the Google Algorithm deciphers your website. Engaging news articles, case studies and blog articles are the best way to show the search engines that you have something of value to offer on your site, so this really is an opportunity not to be missed.

SEO Sheffield as a Long-Term Strategy

It’s essential that you remain patient with this digital marketing strategy. For monthly campaigns in particular, it needs to be something that you invest in for the long term. A re-work of your website can improve your positions fairly quickly depending on how competitive your keywords are, but if you then don’t continue to add regular, organic content -whilst your competitors do – you’ll soon find yourself sliding back down the SERP’s.

Get Reports

The mystery surrounding SEO needn’t be a problem, as the right company will be fully transparent. If you’ve had a bad experience with paid services previously, that will only be heightened. A company that provides you with detailed monthly reports can be worth their weight in gold; and you’d be wise to choose such a firm to carry out any SEO work that you need.

Be Clear in Your Aims

Always plan how you want your SEO campaign to pan out. If you work within a competitive trade, for example, you’ll be more likely to see page 1 results by targeting one of your niche services. Similarly, adding a geographical focus to your activity can also help you maximise the benefits of SEO.

The Optimisation of New Content

If you’ve hired an SEO company for one-off site work but now want to try it yourself, it’s essential to maintain good practices such as adding descriptions and alternative title text to any new images you add to your site. Whenever it comes to adding new content to your site, make sure that it’s optimised for the search engines.

A professional looking well made shop sign will effectively convey the promise of your brand, and the high standards of your business. On the other hand, an old sign with a worn appearance and faded images or lettering will send out a negative message to your customers and potential customers. Image Sign Studio knows that there are many great reasons to have a new shop sign for your business. So, as professional shop sign makers in Sheffield, they put together a list of the top 4 reasons to enhance your retail premises with a new shop sign Sheffield.

How to Use Pinterest as Part of Your Social Media Marketing Strategy

It’s free to sign up, and Pinterest users can upload, save, sort and organise images, or ‘pins’ through collections known as pin boards. Users can browse the content of others, and save individual pins to their own pin boards using the ‘Pin it’ button. If browsing a website other than Pinterest, images can be pinned to users’ pin boards using a ‘Pin it’ button that can be downloaded to the bookmark bar on your web browser. Users can also ‘repin’ pins from others on their own pin boards.

Social Media Marketing World 2015

Last month, San Diego hosted the “Social Media Marketing World 2015″ conference, where several social media professionals shared their expertise on established and developing trends in social media. According to the conference, Pinterest has been dubbed ‘the new Google’, due to the fact that it has a powerful search which many people actually turn to before the search engine giant. It might sound unbelievable, but the reason for this is that many people simplyprefer the visual search results that Pinterest offers. Pins on Pinterest also have great longevity too, for example, if you share a pin today, it will still be coming up in search results weeks, months and even years later.

Pinterest and Driving Sales

In addition to accounts for personal users, Pinterest also allows businesses to create business pages that they can use to promote their company online. These pages could be described as ‘virtual shopfronts’, allowing Pinterest users to browse items for sale on their website. And it’s big business; brand studies have continued to show that Pinterest is more effective at driving sales than other forms of social media. As well as images, business pages can also include various data, topics and information such as prices of products, ratings of movies or ingredients for recipes.

Social Media Management Sheffield

As the 4th most popular social media channel in the world and an invaluable tool for driving sales, it’s never been more important to get to grips with Pinterest and start reaping the benefits. Seven Creative offer ongoing Sheffield social media management services which can include contributing to and monitoring your business’ Pinterest account. Call them today on 0114 383 0711 today for more information about how they can help you.

Devonshire Street Independent Shop Signs Sheffield will be Destroyed

As professional makers of shop signage Sheffield, Image Sign Studio thinks it’s a great shame that this vibrant and eclectic area of the city will be replaced with flats and other shops. The director of Coda Planning has assured Sheffield residents that the building’s design will respect the street’s character and allow occupancy to continue.

Image Sign Studio recently reported on the plans to demolish a number of shops on Devonshire Street in Sheffield, a popular area of the city centre with an eclectic mix of independent retail shops and quirky boutiques. As experts in the design and manufacture of shop signs Sheffield, they have been keeping a close eye on the developments of this story, and are sad to announce that the Sheffield Star have reported that despite nearly 20,000 objections, the shops will be knocked down.

Loss of Specific Businesses

A report to the planning committee says “Though occupiers of the existing retail units perfectly reflect the city’s aspirations for the Devonshire Quarter and undeniably have a part to play in creating an attractive, viable and varied city centre, the planning system does not exist to protect the private interests of one person against the activities of another. Provided a retail frontage is retained, the loss of the specific businesses is not a planning matter.”

Failed Petition for Planning Application

Coda Planning, agent for the developers Primesite Ltd insist that the development would ‘rejuvenate’ a block falling into ‘disrepair’ and improve the area. According to Sheffield Council, the online petition was the largest ever connected to a planning application since the Council began keeping logs, and raised a huge 18,337 signatures. Unfortunately, planners say that according to the law, only views based on ‘material planning considerations’ can be given weight, meaning that the buildings will be destroyed and replaced regardless of the signatures received in opposition.

Public Outcry

According to the newspaper, the specialist shops on Devonshire Street will be replaced with flats and other shops, which has caused massive public outcry in opposition to the plans. Objectors to the demolition say that the impact on the area means that the street will become ‘like every single high street in the country’ and that it would be ‘utter madness to demolish one of the truly individual parts of Sheffield.’

Retail Shop Signs in Spital Hill, Sheffield Revamped with Local Growth Fund

Image Sign Studio has recently been involved in the regeneration of 47 independent shops signs Sheffield in Darnall, a suburb in the east of the city. As it was a £300,000 refurbishment project they really had their work cut out for them, as many of the shop fronts were in a poor state of repair, which was having a knock on effect on the area as a whole.

Improvement of Shop Signs and Frontages

The scheme aims to smarten up the frontages of the businesses to improve the overall look of the area. The idea is for the scheme to start the improvements off with the shop signs and frontages, and then encourage the local residents and businesses to get involved and invest in the community themselves.

Local Growth Fund for Shop Signs Sheffield

Spital Hill is the next area of Sheffield to receive money from the Local Growth Fund to help to smarten up the area. There are several shops, restaurants and takeaways in the area that have run down shop signs Sheffield. Sheffield council’s spokesman for neighbourhoods Councillor Harry Harpham said “Spital Hill could be a thriving and successful district shopping centre. It has a strong community, a good range of shops and community facilities, and access to transport links – but it needs a helping hand to reach its full potential.”

Shop Signs Regeneration Project in Spital Hill

Image Sign Studio are delighted to be involved in the regeneration project in Spital Hill where they will be manufacturing and installing over 70 shop signs over the course of the next six months. They’ll be talking to businesses individually to find out what they want from their new shop sign Sheffield, and then making and installing signs for a variety of different businesses in the area. From illuminated shop signs to projecting outdoor business signs, their aim is to get the area looking smart and welcoming for what will hopefully be a new wave of shoppers coming into the area.

Shop Sign Makers Sheffield Install Flex Face Sign for Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA

Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA were formed in 1867, making them the first County Football Association in the country to be established. As experts in shop signs Sheffield, Image Sign Studio recently had the pleasure of manufacturing and installing a flex face sign for the exterior of Sheffield and Hallamshire County Football Association on Meadowhall Road in Sheffield. They also had the pleasure of meeting Uriah Rennie, the retired English football referee who was born in Sheffield.

Outdoor flex face light boxes are effectively illuminated signs that are especially suitable for outdoor signage for retail parks, businesses signage, and shop signs Sheffield. In addition to being very robust and incredibly durable, they can be manufactured in a variety of different shapes to suit the branding of the business. They can also be used to create large illuminated letters for completely bespoke large format illuminated signs.

Flex Face Illuminated Shop Signs

Flex face signs are a great option because they are really cost effective. The system used to make them is simple and versatile, and unlike ordinary banner signs, they don’t need eyelets, which cuts maintenance down giving them a long service life. The banners are printed using a process that achieves high quality colour, which hold their intensity even when the LED lights are shining through them. The flex face ‘skin’ is tightened in such a way that it gives the impression of being one flat piece of panel signage.

Our expert shop sign makers made the sign from a fabricated aluminium box. A special machine called an aluminium bender was used to create a circle from the metal, in order to create the logo for the football association. A flexible printed PVC banner fascia was then used to stretch across the front of the light box and clipped in position to create a skin over the aluminium frame. This ‘skin’ was then lit from behind with a number of low energy LEDs to illuminate the banner graphic from the inside. The LED lights are cheap to run and create an outstanding effect for a high impact sign.

Follow These Safety Tips for Stanley Knife Blades

When carrying out varying tasks with your Stanley knife blades, it’s essential to follow basic safety advice to ensure that you don’t hurt yourself. So many people use these blades thanks to their versatility and there is potential for injury; so it’s worth bearing your health in mind and taking the time to do some research. Knife-Point have done the hard work for you and put together their own Stanley knife blades safety tips.

Don’t Forget to Retract The Blade

It may sound simple but plenty of people have been hurt simply because they’ve not remembered to draw the blade back into its handle after use. If you leave it showing, someone could easily be cut; so this is advice that’s well worth making part of your routine when using any sort of blade.

Secure Prior to Use

First and foremost, it’s essential that you ensure that replacement blades are locked into place when it comes to changing your Stanley knife blades. As long as you fasten the sharp end to the handle, you’ll be able to ensure total control over the job that you’re carrying out.

Cut Towards You, Not Away From You

When making a cut on a flat surface, it’s vital that you pull the knife toward you; rather than pushing away in the opposite direction. Again, it’s all to do with remaining in control of the work you’re doing. According to advice on the Stanley website; “a pulling motion is stronger and more positive than pushing the knife away from you and the knife is less likely to slip.”

Don’t Rush, Take Your Time

If you’re in a rush, it can be tempting to speed through the work that you’re carrying out. It’s always more important that you take your time; particularly when it comes to cutting thicker materials. Show patience and cut deeper into the material with each pass.

Standing in the Right Place is Key to Using Stanley Knife Blades

Another useful tip is to kneel or stand to one side of the line of the cut you are making. This advice should be applied when you’re making cuts on a surface below you.

Careful When Sharp

A worn blade can spell trouble. If you’ve not changed your existing blades for a long time, you’re running the risk of slippage during implementation. By frequently changing your tools, this problem can be avoided to guarantee that you remain in total control. If the blade is tearing rather than cutting, it needs replacing.

Swann Morton Blades Supply

Top quality products, choice of blades and long-lasting tools are some of the many benefits attached to the knives that Knife-Point supply. Swann Morton and Stanley knife blades are just two examples of the countless reputable cutting tools that you can buy from them. You can reach Knife-Point on 0114 2507554 or 07737133030.

Rebuilding Sheffield’s Reputation as the UK’s Outdoor Capital with Shop Sign Makers Sheffield

According to local newspaper The Sheffield Star, Sheffield Council is working on a plan to turn the old ski village site into a leisure hub. At 150 hectares in total, the land includes Parkwood Springs from Rutland Road in the south to Herries Road in the north. The scheme is set to build on existing facilities at the site, including a 2km mountain bike track that was originally developed by Steve Peat, the World Mountain Bike champion.

The Largest Artificial Ski Resort in Europe

The former ski village was once the largest artificial ski resort in Europe and attracted over 180,000 visitors a year to its slopes. Sheffield Ski Village then suffered due to significant competition from other slopes that offered real snow in Castleford and Milton Keynes. There had been several attempts to attract new visitors by updating the facilities, but developments planned were put on hold due to lack of funds, until a massive fire in 2012 left it in ruins.

As professional shop sign makers in Sheffield, Image Sign Studio were interested to see what the fate of the former ski village would be after a deliberate fire reduced the site to ashes in April 2012. They are pleased to hear that new plans are being drawn up to transform the ski village and surrounding area into a major leisure attraction.

Major Sheffield Attraction

The area has suffered greatly since the fire, and is now a prime target for more acts of arson, as well as fly tipping and vandalism. A Sheffield Council spokesman said: “The plan is still very much in the embryonic stages and we will be putting it out to consultation but we want to use the area as a site for leisure. We have a number of suggestions on the table but we are very much open to ideas. It has the potential to be a major attraction that adds to Sheffield’s unique image – offering both city life and outdoor recreation.”

Manufacturers and Installers of Shop Signs Sheffield

According to recent news, the new facility could also include shops, restaurants and other food and drink outlets. Here at Image Sign Studio, we think that the site of the old ski village definitely needs a revamp. It’s a real shame that it has been left in a state of disrepair for such a long time and it would be great for the city to take on the opportunity for plenty of new facilities, shops and restaurants. As manufacturers and installers of shop signs Sheffield, they think it would bring visitors flocking to the city, which would be great for everyone!

Great Advice on Changing Your Handheld Planer Blades

Changing your handheld planer blades has never been simpler thanks to Knife-Point. As the industry leading supplier of knives and blades to the Sheffield area, they have put together a 5 step guide on how to carry out the process. Read on for their excellent advice:

  1. Shut off the Power Source

To absolutely guarantee your safety when you’re carrying out a change of blades, always make sure that the power supply is disconnected to the device. It might sound obvious but out of all the steps in this guide it’s by far and away the most important one.

  1. Slightly Loosen the Fastenings/Remove the Blades

The second step requires you loosen the bolts or fasteners on your handheld device. You don’t need to completely remove the fastenings and easy blade removal will be possible through the initial loosening. Always take care when removing the blade as it’s likely to still be very sharp. You can then spin the cutter head round and repeat the process on the other side.

  1. Attach the New Blades

Now that you’ve removed the blades in need of changing, you can attach your new purchases. To do this, gently fit the new blade with the shape of the planer blade groove and slide it into place. Hold it in the position where you would like it to remain, then take your wrench and loosely tighten up the outer two bolts on your handheld planer – simple.

  1. The Tightening Process is Key

Taking care during the tightening process is essential. The new blade will be extremely sharp so don’t rush through the replacement process. Before sliding the blade into place you may also need to remove any resin that has been left behind. You can do this using paraffin and oil or by gently scraping the debris away.

  1. Proper Alignment Will Deliver Highest Levels of Accuracy

Finally, you need to verify that the knife blade is central in relation to your handheld planer. This is essential, as it will prevent the knife from rubbing on the edges of the machine. Once this has been guaranteed you can finish tightening the bolts. Again, simply repeat this on the other side.

£500m Retail Development Set to Transform Sheffield City Centre

Residents of Sheffield will know that th£500m Retail Development Set to Transform Sheffield City Centree city centre has suffered in the period since the recession, with shops closing down and significantly less people visiting it, therefore new plans are encouraging for the future of the area.

Plans from Sheffield City Council

The latest news from the Sheffield Star reports that a group of Sheffield business people have announced £500 million plans to develop a new city centre retail quarter. Sheffield Retail Development Group says that they have the expertise, financial backing and the passion to ‘transform’ the city centre with a 650,000sq ft development on a five-acre site by the end of 2018. This ambitious date is a year ahead of Sheffield City Council’s plans, and is set to include a range of shops, offices, cinema, restaurant and bars.

Shop Signs Sheffield

Sheffield shop sign makers Image Sign Studio we were understandably delighted by the news of a new shopping centre in the heart of the city. Whether the city centre is rejuvenated by the private sector, or with help from the council, they areexcited about the plans. We have a passion for helping businesses succeed starting with great signage, and are experts in the manufacture and design of shop signs Sheffield.

Transforming the City Centre

Spokesman John Crowther, who is an ex-chief executive of Vickers Defence Systems, chairman of the Amateur Swimming Association and non-executive director of Sheffield City Trust, said: “This is a world class team of Sheffield people who care about Sheffield and can deliver a scheme that will transform the city centre.”

“We have identified half-a-billion pounds of funding. We want Sheffield people to know there’s a local bid that’s oven-ready to go.” Mr Crowther has also commented that as the plans are a market-led solution, the council will not have to take the risk of diverting money away from other areas, especially at a time of spending cuts.

The future of Sheffield’s city centre has looked uncertain in recent years as new ideas are thrown around and existing plans are scrapped. In a previous post on the Sheffield shop signs blog, Image Sign Studio discussed how plans for the Sevenstone shopping centre were frozen last year, only to find out that Sheffield Council are fighting to buy the designated area back from the previous developers in order to restart plans, possibly as early as next year.

Devonshire Street Sheffield Petition Gains 18,000 Signatures

Devonshire Street is a popular area of the city centre with an eclectic mix of independent retail shops and quirky boutiques selling everything from vintage jewellery and clothes to second hand books and records. But developers have recently submitted a planning application to Sheffield Council to demolish the string of independent retail shops on Devonshire Street and replace them with flats, restaurants and cafes. The application seeks to replace 162 to 170 Devonshire Street, which would result in the closure of the Natural Bed Company, Rare and Racy, the Rag Parade Vintage Store and Syd and Mallory.

Professional Shop Sign Makers in Sheffield

As professional shop sign makers in Sheffield, we like to keep our eye on what is going on in the various retail areas of the city. The recent news about the possible demolition of a number of shops on Devonshire Street comes as a blow to this vibrant independent retail quarter of Sheffield, and there are many that oppose the plans.

Independent Vintage Shops and Emporiums

The petition against the demolition has now been handed in to city planners, which has over 18,000 signatures. Sheffield poet Jonathan Butcher, who stocks his books at the independent book store Rare and Racy, set up the petition. He said: “Those signatures on that petition just show how much people value this area of Sheffield. Students choose to come to Sheffield for the underground music scene and the independent vintage shops and emporiums. People are going to forget what Sheffield is all about it if developers keep building complexes. It’s becoming more and more corporate.”

Development Plans Could Weaken the City Centre

Sheffield Central MP Paul Blomfield visited the shop owners to discuss the plans from Sheffield business Primesite Ltd. He said: “I’ve had a lot of constituents get in touch with me and they are really concerned. I share that concern, because I think shops like this on Devonshire Street really make the character of the city centre, it’s not just about the big chains. We want small, independents that give life to the city. I’m really worried that, not only the development but the change in the uses for these units so restaurants and bars can move in will fundamentally weaken the city centre.”

An Understanding of Customer Needs

One of the things that the company has done to set themselves apart from the competition is to really get stuck into exactly what it is that their customers require. They extensively consider what the blades is going to be used for, what material it will be used in conjunction with and how exactly the customer will implement it. The thorough testing around these constraints is impressive; and provides a grounded reason as to why Stanley have become such a popular brand.

A Variety of Choice

There are an abundance of Stanley knife blades available on the market, many of which you can find at Knife-Point. Heavy-duty straight blades, original Stanley blades and concave blades are just some of the many products that are available, ensuring that the customer always has plenty of choice on offer to them.

When the induction-hardening technology is applied to the edges of blades they last longer and are resultantly better value.

Established and Highly Regarded Since 1843

The company was originally formed all the way back in 1843 by Frederick T. Stanley. Initially, the business was set up as the Stanley Works and operated as a bolt and door hardware manufacturing company located in New Britain. The company subsequently progressed towards the established presence it is today, via a merger with another company and a couple of name changes.

Shop Sign Makers Sheffield Help to Revamp Darnall Shopping Centre

Image Sign Studio were delighted to be involved in the £300,000 refurbishment project, which saw the shops on Main Road and Staniforth Road in Darnall, Sheffield, receiving impressive makeovers, including new retail shop signs. As shop sign makers in Sheffield, Image Sign Studio know the dramatic effect a new shop sign can have on the exterior of a retail premises, and were more than happy to be involved in the Darnall revamp.

Darnall Shops Undergo £300,000 Refurbishment Project

The fantastic project has helped to revamp the rundown shop fronts of 47 independent shops in Darnall, a suburb in the East of the city of Sheffield which has been looking rundown for a number of years. The project started at the end of March this year, in an attempt to smarten up the area, boost the amount of shoppers using the stores there, and attract investment.

Sheffield Council cabinet member for homes and neighbourhoods Councellor Harry Harpham spoke to the Sheffield Star newspaper before the start of the project in March: “Regenerating shopping centres can put the heart back into a district and make it a place where people want to live and businesses want to invest.”

“Darnall has all the ingredients to be a thriving and successful district shopping centre – a strong community, good range of shops and community facilities, and access to transport links. But the quality of the shopping is poor in relation to a centre that serves such a wide residential area and many shops are in a poor state of repair. This will help the area become more attractive to shoppers and boost the centre’s potential.”

Professional Retail Sign Makers Sheffield

As well as the renovation of shop fronts with new shop signs, the wider regeneration framework for the centre of Darnall includes general improvements to the street scene to make the area cleaner and safer. In addition, training and support will be given to traders, and housing development will be enabled on nearby vacant sites.

Regeneration initiatives are set to continue all over the city of Sheffield, including projects in Banner Cross, Hillsborough, Sheffield Antiques Quarter, Spittle Hill and Stocksbridge. As professional makers of retail shop signs Sheffield, Image Sign Studio have already been asked to design, manufacture and produce the retail shop signs for the Spittle Hill regeneration project, which of course they are delighted to be involved in!

3D Stainless Steel Letters for Retail Shop Signs in Sheffield and Beyond

Image Sign Studio originally carried out the manufacture and installation of the Help for Heroes shop sign in the shopping centre Meadowhall last year, and they are now manufacturing and installing signs for the shops all over the UK including Birmingham, Peterborough, Essex, Wimbledon and Bromley. It’s such a great cause, and Image Sign Studio were over the moon to be contributing to their retail expansion across the UK, supporting them in helping to raise funds for the tri-service military charity.

3D Backlit Letters for Retail Shop Sign

As professional sign makers in Sheffield, Image Sign Studio is lucky enough to be manufacturing and installing a number of illuminated retail shop signs for the charity Help for Heroes. To manufacture the Help for Heroes signs, a box was made out of folded aluminium composite called Dibond, and stainless steel hollow 3D letters were produced to create the words ‘Help for Heroes’. These letters were then backlit by fitting them with white LED lights to create a halo effect and attached to the Dibond backboard using studs.

Advantages of Dibond Aluminium Composite

Although Dibond is extremely lightweight, it is also very rigid and achieves a perfect flatness. Just what you need for a shop sign! The aluminium alloy is corrosion resistant, making it an excellent choice for shop signs that are likely to be exposed to the elements. Dibond is also great for printing on too, lending itself especially to digital printing, which is a popular choice for many shop signs Sheffield.

To manufacture the shop signs for this charity, Image Sign Studio used Dibond, which is an aluminium composite material consisting of a polyethylene core and aluminium cover sheet. Dibond is a lightweight yet rigid material, and there are many advantages to using it in sign making.

3D Illuminated Retail Shop Signs Sheffield from Sign Maker Sheffield

Illuminated shop signs can have a dramatic overall effect on the look of any retail shop. According to Mintel’s Christmas 2014 predictions a huge 87% of all retail sales will be made in shops in December 2014. Online shopping has been a hot topic of conversation for a number of years now as footfall on British high streets has made a gradual, but significant, decrease. So although the number of people doing online shopping is set to rise again, there’s still plenty that will carry out their shopping in store.

Professional Sign Makers in Sheffield

There’s nothing like going into a shop and physically holding a product, then to come home with the item in your shopping bag on that very day. For all the convenience of online shopping, there’s only so much you can find out about the item from looking at it on a screen and reading reviews. Image Sign Studio is well aware of the increasing popularity of online shopping, but they firmly believe that there is a lot of scope for retail shops to claim their fair share of the market.

Retail Spending in the UK on the Increase

Online business Website City AM recently reported that although fewer shoppers visited shopping centres and high streets this summer, retail spending was actually at it’s highest since January. The Director of the British Retail Consortium (BRC) Helen Dickinson said that although footfall had decreased, the amount of money that was spent by shoppers per trip had actually increased.

Woodworking Perfection with 82mm Planer Blades

Woodworking Perfection with 82mm Planer Blades

It is widely known that woodworking planer blades a predominantly used to flatten the surface of a piece of timber. This in turn reduces the thickness of the wood itself; with the main use of the technique being to produce horizontal, inclined or vertical surfaces that are both flat and smooth.

For thousands of years, hand planers have been heavily used within the woodworking industry; and have evolved over time to be the useful tools they are in the present day. Background in Europe and Asia has ensured that the best elements of woodworking tool design have been put to use to produce products like our 82mm planer blades.

You can take maintenance precautions such as implementing the use of an oiled whetstone to care for your blades, as well as ensuring you work the blade with a pushing action. Taking note of advice like this will ensure that your blades work at optimum capacity. Subsequent end product quality will benefit from the accuracy this will ensure.

Getting the Most Out of Your Planer Blades

Getting the Most Out of Your Planer Blades

It is extremely important that tools such as 82mm planer blades are kept sharp; as if they are not it will result in shoddy workmanship. The result for taking care of maintenance issues can only be positive; and will help you achieve the best possible end product result. It will also showcase your knowledge of issues surrounding in quality control and help you impress in the process.

Typically; planer blades are tools which are extremely resistant to heavy duty work – but it is essential that they are properly maintained for this to be true. Properly maintaining these tools; and understanding why you are doing so is vital to ensure that you are able to carry out great woodworking work.

Good Instructions When Using Planer Blades

When actually implementing the use of planer blades proper balance is essential. Distribution of body weight – by keeping your feet apart in a comfortable position – enables you to maintain the closest control when using a wood planer. Naturally, the end product will emanate accuracy and quality as a result.

It is useful to wait a few seconds when you start up your planer to carry out work. This enables the motor to reach full speed; and the blade can now be eased into contact with the material. From this point, you can push forward at a steady pace, ensuring that you continue to apply pressure on the front of the planer as it meets your piece of work.

Ensuring Excellent Planer Blades Maintenance

When it comes to understanding whether your product needs to be maintained, it is helpful to do your research (we often provide advice through this blog). Perhaps the best way to test the sharpness of the blade is by tilting it up to the light. By observing how the light reflects off the bevel of the blade, you can gauge its condition. If the blade is sharp, then the bevel will appear flat.

If one of your planer blades requires maintenance, then you will need to follow a number of simple steps to carry out the job successfully. There are a number of resources available to tell you how you can do it best; which include guidelines on using an oiled whetstone, the importance of removing chips on the blade and ensuring that the blade is worked with a pushing action and not a pulling action

Planer Blades Supplier

Without understanding both the importance of keeping your planer blade in good condition – and also how best to utilize it – not only will your planer blade not work properly, it will also subsequently result in you being unable to produce a high standard product.

Here at Knife-Point we stock an entirety of different blades. Thanks to our incredible range of products, you will always find the right tool with us – no matter what trade you work in or task you need to carry out. We are confident that you will come back to us time and time again; thanks to our dedicated, experienced team. You can view all of our products here, at www.knife-point.co.uk.

This particular sign projects from the wall seamlessly, with the bracket carefully hidden to create a modern effect. LED lights have been placed inside the PVC box, creating an impressive glow that really makes an impression. The effect of the light behind the letters is striking; especially as the last letter in the word HALO is white, allowing the light to shine very brightly in comparison to the other elements of the sign.

Illuminated Projecting Signs Sheffield

Illuminated projecting signs are also great for increasing the visibility of your business at night time, or in times of bad weather and poor visibility. The panels themselves can be manufactured in a range of sizes, and the graphics and text can be printed directly onto both sides for maximum advertising opportunity.

Increase Brand Exposure with a Projecting Shop Sign

Projecting shop signs are particularly effective for shops that are located on a narrow street. For shops in this position, their main shop sign may not be as visible as signs on shops located on a wider street, reducing the amount of passersby that are exposed to the brand. For shops such as this, projecting shop signs can be a great solution, as they protrude from the building at an angle, enabling it to be seen at a distance from either end of the road. A projecting outdoor sign is, therefore, a great addition to your main shop sign, and another measure to ensure that your sign doesn’t get lost in the array of other business signage around it.

Shop Sign Makers Sheffield

Image Sign Studio regularly talk about how important it is to have a good looking shop sign Sheffield to make the very best impression of your business. In addition to your main shop sign, you may also consider a projecting shop sign for your business, increasing the number of potential customers that may see your shop sign as they walk up and down the street.

As experienced shop sign makers in Sheffield, Image Sign Studio are able to design and manufacture a variety of projecting outdoor shop signs Sheffield, including fixed projecting signs, hanging projecting signs and illuminated projecting signs.

Great Shop Signs Sheffield Could Save the High Street

Shop signs Sheffield city centreAs experienced sign makers in Sheffield, Image Sign Studio likes to keep on top of the latest news regarding the high street and the future of high street shopping. A recent article in the Daily Telegraph claims that life is returning to Britain’s high streets due to new planning rules that make it easier to convert empty shops into homes. The paper reports that having more homes near and even in the high street help to develop a buzz in the area, and also provide a readymade consumer market right there on the doorstep. Great news!

As you may well be aware, it’s been in the news for a considerable amount of time now that high streets up and down the country are suffering from the effects of the recent recession, the decrease in footfall, and the lack of sales. Newspapers are littered with depressing shots of empty shop fronts and headlines scream about the death of the high street. Sheffield city centre has lost a few shops, admittedly, and there are still several Sheffield shop signs that hang over empty windows and rundown buildings with nothing to show inside.

The Evolution of the High Street and Shop Signs Sheffield

According to the Daily Telegraph, a recent report shows that 44 new independent shops opened every day last year and retail sales were up 1.7% last months and 3.7% on this time last year.

Brandon Lewis, the Minister for High Streets says: “To attract people in to the high street, we want them to be exciting and vibrant places to eat and drink, spend leisure time and use practical services as well as shop.” And what else do they need? Great shop signs of course!

Many people assumed that with the rise of internet shopping and out of town developments, the high street would be reduced to practically nothing. But there is growing optimism about the evolution of the high street and its ability to adapt.

Ensure Your Business Stands out with a Great Shop Sign Sheffield

Whether the high street is rejuvenated by the integration of homes into the shopping mix, or as a result of the upturn in the economy, the British High Street is definitely on the road to recovery. Image Sign Studio have the skills and experience to design and manufacture a wide variety of shop signs Sheffield to ensure that your business adds to the vibrancy of the streets of the steel city.  Call today on 0114 261 7617 to get in touch and chat to a member of their friendly team.

Swann Morton and Stanley Knife Blades Help Design and Architecture Students Excel

With the pressure of student life a constant for students; it is essential to take every measure possible to make life easier. Tight deadlines, late nights and spells of isolated work are harsh realities for many students; particularly those taking courses that revolve around design. For them; achieving the highest standards of accuracy in their work will be the difference between success and failure on their courses.

If you are one of those people; you can ensure that you are taking this seriously by choosing Swann Morton and Stanley knife blades as your go-to cutting tools. Taking such a decision will pay dividends; across a number of different scenarios. One such example would be an architecture student making a scale model to visualize an idea. The subsequent quality of that model will only be as good as the cutting tools that you use to make it.

Understanding this; and taking the appropriate measures discussed; will ensure that you are showing an understanding of the importance of quality control in design. In the process, you will be giving yourself the best possible opportunity to achieve good grades.

Extremely Rewarding

Wasted time having to remanufacture models because they haven’t been cut accurately can be extremely demoralizing. Achieving precision first time is endlessly satisfying; and understanding that you can do this through purchasing the best cutting tools is invaluable.

If you are one of those students; showing that you are able to work to only the highest levels of accuracy – right from the initial stages of creation – could be the key contributing factor towards your idea’s success.

By taking ownership of the importance of attention to detail; you are also making your own life easier in the process. When dealing with the pressures of university life; taking such measures can be extremely rewarding.

Swann Morton and Stanley Knife Blades Helping to Achieve Excellence

Having taken the time to research and understand the importance of accuracy; you need to do the same thing when deciding on the tools that you should use in your work. Swann Morton and Stanley knife blades are guaranteed to help you achieve the quality that you require. With many years of experience, it is easy to understand why they have been such successful suppliers for so long.

Blades from both of these established producers can ensure that the level of your work is only of the highest standard – helping to ensure good grades in the process! Consistency and quality of finish are two qualities that will shine through in the components that make up your product.

Hobby Craft Made Easy With Swann Morton and Stanley Knife Blades

In the working world; accuracy can never be overstated. For trades such as craft, this is even more relevant; with few things worse than wasting your time on a project that goes to waste because of the use of poor cutting tools. Swann Morton and Stanley knife blades will ensure complete precision when carrying out your hobby craft tasks.

Keeping your blades sharp and fine is absolutely vital in industries that include the production of card making, model making and artwork. Anything other than the best knife tools will result in the creation of a product that is severely lacking in quality.

Established Manufacturers

The benefits of using knife blades from established manufacturers are obvious. They have a reputation that has been founded through years of dedicated work; which has enabled them to guarantee quality assurance. Swann Morton and Stanley knife blades are excellent examples of this.

Craft industry professionals and those interested in craft that may be working on projects for sectors such as card production and model making; will see the obvious value in these sentiments – Swann Morton and Stanley knife blades have been helping them to achieve great results in their work for many years.

Inaccuracy Costs

Inaccurate features on craft products can leave customers feeling extremely dissatisfied; and resultantly sales of their products would be significantly affected. The knife chosen by the craft artist making the card can be the difference between achieving success and failure in their business.

Achieving consistency and a quality finish is so important in craft production. It is a profession that requires serious care; and thorough and comprehensive attention is vital. For example; a card maker whose products evidence inaccuracy when cutting features would see their business sales substantially drop.

Decades of Combined Experience

Here at Knifepoint we stock products by a whole host of manufacturers; ensuring that you will always be able to find the knives and knife blades that are best suited to you. We manufacture our own knives as well; further evidencing the professional versatility of our products.

With many years of valued experience in the manufacture of knives; we continue to be a leader of knife supply within the area and further afield. Our quality and dedication towards what we do is just one of the many reasons that our customers continue to come back to us.

Both Swann Morton and Stanley knife blades can be used in the production of a whole host of materials; including paper, card and plastics. LED Illuminated Shop Sign for Sports Bar in Sheffield

Shop sign Sheffield for Players LoungeWe manufactured two signs for this Sheffield sports bar, which both featured LED lighting. As the majority of the bar’s business would be generated in the evening, having an illuminated sign was a must to attract potential customers and make sure that the signage could be clearly seen from the road by passersby.

As experienced shop sign makers in Sheffield, Image Sign Studio has manufactured a number of retail and commercial signs for a variety of businesses throughout the area. This particular sign was manufactured for ‘Players Lounge’ sports bar and function suite in Sheffield.

More info on our shop signs Sheffield

Fabricated Perspex 3D Letters

The letters were fabricated from Perspex and mounted onto the aluminium tray using acrylic studs. This made them stand out to create a 3D effect. The overall look of this business signage is very sleek and certainly stands out from the crowd with the monochrome colour scheme and illuminated letters. It is very obvious with signage exactly how effective the illumination is behind the Perspex letters, which glows even brighter at night.

The sign was constructed using an aluminium light box which was then powder coated to match the branding of the bar and their existing marketing material. Aluminium typically has a standard silver finish, however, it can be powder coated in any colour to match the corporate identity of the business in question. Powder coating is a great way of colour matching signage to a business’ existing marketing material, branding and colour scheme etc.

Shop Sign Illuminated with LED Lighting

LED illumination can be achieved on signage such as this by placing the LED lights onto a back tray behind the lettering of the shop sign. LED lights are a great choice for Sheffield signs such as this because they are guaranteed for 50,000 hours and very cheap to run in comparison with conventional tube lighting. The aluminium light box was then fitted with internal LED lighting in white, so that the letters could easily be lit up at night for an eye-catching effect.

If you are in need of a sign maker to design and manufacture your shop sign Sheffield, Image Sign Studio can help. Whether it’s for a bar, restaurant or shop, our experience and knowledge in commercial signage is second to none. Call us on 0114 261 7617 to get in touch and chat to a member of our friendly team.

Illuminated Shop Sign with Perspex Letters for Whitehornes Estate Agents

As professional shop sign makers in Sheffield, Image Sign Studio has designed and manufactured shop signs for a variety of businesses all over the city. We recently manufactured the signage for a Sheffield based independent estates agent called Whitehornes, who have recently acquired a new premises at Banner Cross.

Digitally Printed Banner for Outdoor Use

We were asked to produce a digitally printed banner which has been hung vertically above the shop sign. All the banners we provide come finished with quality hems and eyelets so that they can be hung from buildings and ceilings, and can be securely attached to fences and poles too. The banner for Whitehornes is made from PVC which has been printed using UV stable ink in order to prevent fading when exposed to sunlight.

We also fabricated brackets to fit on the side of the building which the printed banner has been attached to using eyelets. Printed banners such as these are great for additional signage as they are very durable and hardwearing, making them suitable for prolonged outdoor use such as on the outside of buildings like this one!

White CNC Cut Perspex Letters

The letter for the Whitehornes shop sign were cut from white Perspex using our very own state of the art CNC routeing machine. This machine allows us to cut simple or very complex shapes with perfect accuracy from a wide variety of materials. It really is fantastic technology, as it gives an incredibly flawless finish to all types of business signage. The 3kW spindle means it can fly through materials with ease.

Whitehornes were looking to create a sleek, professional image that would project the image of quality through their new shop sign. Aluminium back boards in blue were used as a backdrop to the lettering, keeping in line with their branding and creating a flawless surface upon which to mount the letters.

The white Perspex letters were then mounted onto the blue aluminium backboard using studs so that they stand proud, raising them slightly to create a 3D effect. The sign was then illuminated using LED trough lights for maximum impact.

If you want to make a great impression with quailty business signage, our custom shop sign making service in Sheffield will be perfect for you. Give us a call on 0114 261 7617 to chat with our friendly team.

Swann Morton Knife Providers Keep Sharp Eye on Bear Grylls Comments

Bear Grylls – the Chief Scout of the Scouting Association – and the man behind hit reality TV show ‘The Island’; has suggested the children should be encouraged to use knives from a young age. His suggestion has caused widespread controversy; as he told the Radio Times that kids need to learn “how to embrace and manage risk”; and that parents should assume more responsibility in the educating of these matters.

Grylls has enjoyed previous success through his global TV phenomenon ‘Bear Grylls: Born Survivor’ – a show which pits him against the most daunting environments the world has to offer; in order for him to teach viewers about how to manage survival situations. The stir his latest interview caused, resulted in the national press – including The Telegraph and The Independent – picking up the story.

Appropriate Constraints for Knives

His popularity throughout this country and beyond ensures that any comments he does choose to make will be analyzed in kind. His gung-ho style and laid back attitude have been part of the reason he has been such a success story; but his latest comments could have landed him in hot water.

One of the standout quotes from those latest comments included Grylls suggestion that handling a knife as a child could be ‘empowering’; if done under the appropriate constraints: “Sometimes in life we get cut,” he was quoted as saying. “My six-year-old recently cut himself on a knife, and came in with blood pouring everywhere, but, you know what? He’s not cut himself again. He learned how to handle a knife.”

This has been considered by a lot of the media to be an insensitive view on the issue of allowing children to possess knives. Grylls has also said, however, that it is essential that knives are treated with the utmost respect and that children are taught how to use them properly: “When I say to budding adventurers, ‘Listen – a blunt penknife is a dangerous knife. Make sure it’s really sharp’ – the kids’ faces light up. Like all kids, they want a mega-sharp penknife – great, but teach them to respect it and use it properly,” he said.

Branded Knives From Swann Morton

The topic is certainly up for debate; but we at Knife Point are glad to simply stick to delivering the best possible knives for both new and existing customers. As a company; we deliver both our own specifically-tailored knife blades; and also branded knives from established industry businesses such as Swann Morton.

The key is our experience. We have been leaders of knife production in the industry for decades; and we work tirelessly to deliver only the highest levels of customer satisfaction. We achieve this through the application of our time and dedication; ensuring that customers come to us for their knife needs time and time again.

Theft of WW1 Memorabilia Interests Manufacturers of Trimming Knife Blades

At Knife-Point; news related to the manufacture of knives is always of interest to us. With 30 years of industry experience – and historical roots within the production of knives spanning decades – we are always amazed to see some of the stories that crop up surrounding knife production.

In this vein; it recently came to our attention that a historical WW1 memorabilia knife was stolen from a Canvey museum; in Western Esplanade. The incident occurred on the morning of 5th May – the last day of the most recent bank holiday. The item concerned is a trench dagger – or trench knife – and was taken from one of the museum’s display cases.

Knife Production in the Past

The knife is a fantastic example of past knife production; with such different constraints placed on the manufacture of it than ones that would be applied to present day products. Some characteristics of the ideals that went into producing it will remain true to this day though. Hard work and dedication to the craft – something that we at Knife-Point understand – are things that should always be applied within any walk of product design. They are the key essentials that enable us to deliver the high quality of products – such as our trimming knife blades – to our customers.

When you consider these aspects of knife manufacture; you can understand why the memorabilia knife that has been stolen is considered so valuable. A museum volunteer – Allan Reed – was quick to play up the significance of the incident; whilst PC Lisa-Ann Gore, of Essex police – told The Enquirer: “The museum would like to get the piece back as it is very important to them. It is also a weapon and we would like to get it back in safe hands. I would urge anyone with any information to contact me as soon as possible.”

Trimming Knife Blades

Such information may come from someone who has found themselves in a situation where the knife may have been offered as a sale; or alternatively, somebody who may have any information within relation to the theft. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

At Knife-Point, we have a number of USP’s; including: our high quality products, excellent service, rapid deliveries and competitive pricing. We want to keep new customers for the long-term; as we become your go to business for knives – including our trimming knife blades. Anyone can visit our website at www.knife-point.co.uk ; to view an extensive range of Knife Point products.

Sheffield Metal Company Furnish Office Block with Brushed Stainless Steel Sign

Sheffield sign shop, Image Sign Studio, recently had the pleasure of manufacturing the sign for R.S. Bruce Metals, whose head quarters are in Sheffield. The Bruce Group encompasses R.S Bruce Metals and Machinery, who pride themselves on playing a key role in the innovation of the techniques used for the removal and recovery of oxidised Platinum Group Metals, from components within working nitric acid plants.

The office sign was manufactured for a previously derelict building that R.S. Bruce decided to redevelop into an office block for their staff. Because of the condition of the building and the standard to which the company wished to bring the officer block up to, R.S Bruce employed interior designers to help them with the development.  It was, therefore, completed to an exceptionally high standard, and created a fantastic place to work for their staff members.

Back Lit in Orange to Represent a Furniss

R.S. Bruce chose to have their office sign manufactured from stainless steel with a brushed finish. They chose the brushed stainless steel finish in order to reflect their metal business, creating a link between their branding and the industry that they are a part of.

They also chose to have orange LED lights fitted into the back of the lettering in order to create a halo effect. At night, the orange LED lights created a glow around the stainless steel 3D lettering, looking almost as though there was a fire simmering behind them. The thought process behind this orange light was to represent the idea of a furnace, again a reflection of the metal industry.

Stainless Steel 3D Letters

Such a well designed office block obviously needed a great sign to reflect the quality of the business and the services that they provide. Here at Image Sign Studio, we have plenty of experience designing and manufacturing shop signs, industrial signs and signs for office buildings such as this, so we were an obvious choice!

The sign was manufactured using stainless steel cut on a CNC machine, which uses computer software to control the mechanical movement of the machine while it cuts the letters. The letters were then hand fabricated to create a return on the sides of each one, and welded to create a 3D look.

If you are looking for a sign maker in Sheffield to design and manufacture your office sign, industrial sign or shop sign, Image Sign Studio can help. Call our friendly team on 0114 261 7617 for more information.
