Make your business stand out from the crowd with the highest quality written copy (SEO copywriting, blog articles, email newsletters, press releases, website content, proofreading and editing)
With so much content out there on the internet today, it’s more important than ever that your website or blog has compelling, well written copy to ensure that it stands out from the crowd.
Sheffield based copywriter Ellie Storey, otherwise known as Content Writer Extraordinaire, produces high quality marketing, advertising and sales copy for businesses. With a background in journalism, Ellie writes everything from website content, blogs, newsletters and articles, to SEO optimised articles, promotional writing and sales copy.
Ellie works with a range of businesses, producing quality copy aimed at developing their online and offline presence. Working on an as required basis, customers give Ellie a brief and she provides them with the copy they need. She can simply email the text over to the customer, or even publish directly to a blog or website on behalf of the client, once the content has been approved.
Content Writer Extraordinaire provides the full range of the highest quality writing services for business including blog posts, articles, website content, SEO copy, proof reading and editing
“Many businesses start blogs with the intention of updating them on a regular basis,” says Ellie. “But the reality is, after a few weeks, updating it falls to the bottom of the to-do list as other commitments within the business take priority. By outsourcing their content writing to me, I can provide them with quality articles for their blog or news page so that they can get on with everything else they need to do within the business.
All it takes is a quick chat to agree on the topic of the article and a brief outline of what the client wants to get across, and I do the rest. Once it’s written, my client can have a read to decide that they are happy, and possibly make recommendations about anything they’d like to add or tweak. It’s a simple process for them, giving them time to run their business without the stress and commitment of knowing they have to sit down and write this week’s blog article.”
Ellie also specialises in search engine optimised copy for the web, which can have a dramatic effect on the ranking of your website or blog in the search engine results. And it’s not just blogs and websites that Ellie writes for; she frequently puts together newsletters and press releases, and also provides a proofreading and editing services.

Inspiring Entrepreneurs: Marketing Maestros, Henry Moore Suite, Leeds Art Gallery – 16 September 2013
Effective marketing is a vital way for a business to acquire new customers and grow. This evening will provide you with inspiration from our experts, giving you a host of ideas and creative thinking on how to build a great brand, use the right channels and reach your audience.
This panel discussion will be streamed live from the British Library, with the chance to hear from local entrepreneur Viv Parry, founder of Exquisite Homemade Cakes in Leeds.
You can put your questions to all speakers and you can network with other local businesses following the screening.
You can follow all the action and tweet your questions on #BLMarketing
Speakers include:
Local entrepreneur, Viv Parry, founder of Exquisite Homemade Cakes
Viv Parry founded Exquisite Homemade Cakes in 2004 and it has been successfully trading now for almost ten years, managing to increase turnover year on year by building relationships with customers and working on new product development with those customers whilst at the same time actively seeking new customers. The company now has an extensive product range across several categories – cakes, tray-bakes and individually wrapped products.
Viv’s ambitions for the future involve global export, business growth and continuous development of the Exquisite brand.
Jo Fairley, co-founder of Green & Black’s
In 1991, Jo co-founded the pioneering organic chocolate company Green & Black’s (with her husband Craig Sams) one of the UK’s biggest selling chocolate brands. In 2005, the brand was sold to Cadbury’s, but Jo remains in an ambassadorial role, travelling the world as the brand grows internationally.
Jo now runs Judges Bakery – an organic one-stop shop – and The Wellington Centre, an 11-room ‘boutique’ wellbeing centre, in her home town of Hastings. She continues to juggle this with her writing career.
Will King, King of Shaves
The King of Shaves brand was created by Will King in the depths of the UK recession in the early 1990s.
Following redundancy, King decided to build his own business, King of Shaves, and his first product was shaving oil, which solved his personal problem with shaving – razor burn.
Today, over thirty different King of Shaves brand products are stocked in all major outlets across the UK as well as being available in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Africa and Brazil.
Laura Tenison, founder of JoJo Maman Bébé

Get ready for a new peer-to-peer platform that allows either businesses or individuals to hire out both goods and services. Listings are free to post and concept has been touted as game-changing.
Hire Jungle simultaneously displaying search results for both products and services, allowing users to properly determine their best choice when it comes to either hiring skilled workforce or finding the right products to do it themselves at a cheaper cost.
This London based start-up aims to empower both the owners of the services that are being hired out (who can start earning extra income from hiring out products/services) and the hirer who are better able to make much more informed decisions when searching for the most cost-effective solution.
Users will have the ability to list their goods and services at no cost in any of the categories. Hiring contracts are then formalized between the owner and the hirer, with no participation from Hire Jungle, which only provides the connection interface between the two parties. Commission-free transactions and publications are some of the core values the new start-up promotes.
Hire Jungle addresses the concern of possible damaged or lost items by encouraging owners to request a deposit on all items that are hired out. A sample hiring contract is provided so those users who are hiring out their items can operate safely.
No pre-payments are required for securing transactions. Owners’ emails are not disclosed for privacy purposes. Interested hirers are required to fill in a form in order to place their enquiry, and owners will review all forms before getting in touch with potential hirers.
Two main categories are available – one for products and one for services. Users of the site can publish free classified ads to promote their products or services respectively. Searches can be completed by browsing categories or by using the powerful search bar found on the top menu.
Product and Services categories are linked in a fashion that ensures relevant search results, displaying the services classifieds on the left-hand side and the products classifieds on the right. For instance, a search query for “builders in London” will not just display results for the builders’ services available in that area, but also building-related products such as drills, ladders, screwdrivers, just to name but a few.
